EIDA is delighted to announce the launch of the HR Charter against domestic abuse, in partnership with Working Futures. The Charter was developed by and for HR professionals to stand shoulder to shoulder on the issue of domestic abuse. Whilst EIDA membership is for organisations, the HR Charter is a commitment for individuals to raise awareness of domestic abuse wherever they work.
Signatories to the HR Charter will:
- Gain access to all the tools, resources, and events available to employers that are members of EIDA.
- Receive a digital badge for you to add to your email signature and social media accounts.
- Be invited to a free, online onboarding session with other HR professionals who have signed the HR Charter.
- Have your name, job title, and current organisation added to the EIDA website displaying the HR professionals who have also signed the HR Charter.
- Become part of a movement for change.
How was the HR Charter developed?
EIDA partnered with Working Futures (previously CIRCAL), an organisation that plays a leading role in transforming the world of work and HR practices. Together we ran a series of online sessions with hundreds of HR professionals to increase awareness of domestic abuse. It was clear then, as it is today, that there is still so much more that employers could be doing. Who better placed to take the lead on this important work than HR professionals themselves? Through a process of workshops and iterative development, we produced the HR Charter against domestic abuse.
